Poles are part of powerchair!

p1040519The city of Zamość in Poland is 60km from the border with Ukraine, it has been a multi-cultural centre of learning and progress in Europe from its founding in the sixteenth century. It is also the furthest place to the south-east of FIPFA’s Europe Zone (as far as we know) to have a Powerchair Football club! (more…)

Team USA Athletes announced!

Twenty athletes from accross the country met in Whitestown, Indiana, Nov. 19-21st to demonstrate their skill and determination to be chosen for the next Team USA. Twelve athletes were chosen to continue their training for the next 18 months where the field of twelve will be narrowed to eight atletes, with four alternates. This team will compete in the 2011 World Cup.

Powerchair Football seen by millions worldwide!

acc_logo_blueThe inaugural America’s Champions Cup, held 23-24 October 2009 in Suwanee, Georgia, (USA) scored a new “first” with the global news network CNN reporting from the event with inside stories about this dynamic team sport played in electric wheelchairs. The first international player transfer, the French Jerome Durand talks about teamwork skills and determination. Dakotah Smith, a business management student from the US describes what motivates her game.
