Mission, Statement, and Composition

The Development Commission has the following purpose:

  • To define an international development program for Powerchair Football, incorporating all available FIPFA resources.
  • To work closely with the NOPFs and the Regions, in order to appropriate promotional events; demonstrations, international player clinics, etc…

Operational mode of the Commission and 2008 – 2012 Objectives

Operation mode:

The Commission shall meet at least once every two months via a Skype conference. When this is not possible due to time differences, meetings with only certain member can take place.

The Commission shall meet at least once a year during the first three years. This meeting can take place during a FIPFA zone or world competition and shall develop a 4-year plan that will be updated every year. (more…)

Singapore: Powerchair Gohs Fast in Asia and the Pacific Zone

IMG_0164.JPGThe goal to develop Powerchair Football in Asia and the Pacific grows from our delight seeing so many people interested in our sport in that Zone – players, coaches, referees, classifiers and supporters!  We believe that in terms of potential success, the game will grow rapidly in several countries in Asia and the Pacific, so that together we can achieve the criteria for becoming an IPC sport. Poles are part of powerchair!

p1040519The city of Zamość in Poland is 60km from the border with Ukraine, it has been a multi-cultural centre of learning and progress in Europe from its founding in the sixteenth century. It is also the furthest place to the south-east of FIPFA’s Europe Zone (as far as we know) to have a Powerchair Football club! (more…)
